Mod note: This is so insidious. In which bipolar people are supposed to just shut our mouths and be quiet about the inarguable harmful effects of self-diagnosis for the sake of others. I’m soooo sorry I have the nerve to defend myself against the people who are encouraging the stereotypes that have lead to people with mental disorders being denied housing, jobs, and adoption rights. 

Only on Tumblr are bipolar people expected to be silent in the conversation about our own fucking mental disorders. But hey, everyone else shits on bipolar people, so why shouldn’t self-diagnosed bipolar people get to join in on the fun of shitting on us?
